As much as you think sexual interference doesn’t happen in your family, or amongst your friends or in your community, it actually can and does. It happens a lot! The Australian Institute of Criminology statistics show that 1 in 5 girls and 1 in 7 boys have experienced some sort of sexual interference. A little knowledge instilled at an early age can mitigate the risk. We need to give children the skills to protect themselves, as we cannot always be there to protect them ourselves. Please read this book with your child when the time is right and discuss the issues with them. Remember forewarned is forearmed!
